You gotta read this.
This article is so true to what it was here, I swear, I really did sigh & say, "Now back to reality, back to the trailer," when I finally was able to leave my game-mates and head back home. But I couldn't sit still & when the news report came on that their plane was so late taking off I hightailed it out to Metaire. And it was an incredible scene in the sparkling rain, all emotional and dumb, & I screamed at Sean Payton's car, "I LOVE YOU! COACH ME! COACH ME!!!" There was this great essay in the Gambit about how Mayor Nagin could stand to steal a page or two from Sean Payton's play book & that's no lie. That man took a group of guys that didn't have any identity, he wasn't afraid to make hard choices & boot players who weren't working anymore & to recruit new talent that had the right energy. The Saints were 3 & 13 the prior year! Nobody expected crap from this team, nobody really expects anything from us anymore. Plus have you watched him berate players who fuck up or get arrogant? He's serious, man, a real leader, and I truly admire the job he has done and I'm inspired. Too bad he's not our mayor. Oh hell, he is my mayor.
You're such a nut job but so damn sweet.

Congrats on the Saints. They had a memorable season, considering what they and your beautiful city went through last year.
